Harold Eugene "Wheezer" Fowler

Harold (lovingly known as "Wheezer") was born to Anna Laura and Harold B. Fowler on December 27, 1929 in Oklahoma City and passed away February 8, 2019. Harold married the love of his life Diane (Schneider) Fowler on October 18, 1952 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War for three years and was honorably discharged in October 1953. Harold and Diane raised eight children together. After his military service, Harold worked for and was a member of the Plumber's Union in Oklahoma City for over 22 years, then started his own business - Fowler Plumbing. He retired as owner and president after 20 years. Harold is preceded in death by his parents as well as his sisters, Helen Frank and Mary Elizabeth Templin and brother, John R. Fowler. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Diane Fowler, of the home; children: Stephen (Larry Keller), Cynthia Huston (Dane), Catherine Brennan (Bill), John (Rhonda), Mary, Joseph, David (Crystal), and Janet Friday (Karl); 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Harold is also survived by his brother, James G. Fowler, several nieces and nephews along with many friends and acquaintances. Harold was a devout Catholic and member of St. Eugene Catholic Church in Oklahoma City for 60 years. An Evening Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, February 12th at 6 pm at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 13th at 10 am at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 2400 W. Hefner Rd., Oklahoma City followed by interment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
