Helen Louise Swanda

Helen Louise Swanda, 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 16, 2019 in Del City. She was born on November 30, 1937 in Apache, OK to Charles and Helen (Cunningham) Moore. Helen graduated from Newcastle High School then began her working career at Downtown Chevrolet in the financing department. She later meet the love of her life Daniel Swanda at a weekly Czech Hall dance in Yukon. Helen retired the first time from GMAC Financing at the age of 62. She then went to work for Southwest Airlines and retired from them ten years later. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Jim Moore, Ed and wife Pat Moore; nephew Ed, Jr. Moore; and sister-in-law Cindy Moore. She is survived by daughter Mary Katterhenry and husband Daniel, son Guy Charles; granddaughters Sarah and husband Justin Blankenship, Lydia Katterhenry; sister Charlotte Tippit, brothers Bob and wife Ladonna Moore, Tom Moore, and John and wife Carol Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Noon to 6 pm Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Smith and Kernke 23rd Street. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, May 20, 2019 also at Smith and Kernke 23rd Street Chapel.
