Helen Tiburcio Valerio was born on Feb. 14, 1929 in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines and passed away on March 26, 2019 in Oklahoma City. She was 90 years old. Helen received an Elementary Teacher's Certificate in the 1950s but never pursued teaching when she married Ismael Valerio Sr and since then, had been a housewife. She first traveled to the USA in 1989 as a tourist and visited her daughter, Belaine, in Florida, and later to her daughter-in-law, Gloria, in Oklahoma City on the same year. She became an immigrant in 1993 and attained her American citizenship in 2004. She loves socializing and had been involved with Golden Dreamers Senior's Club during her stay in Florida. During her younger years, she enjoyed traveling particularly when visiting friends & families in different states. She enjoyed it so much that she never complained of long drives while sitting in the vehicle for almost 17 hours. She lived in Oklahoma City from 1993 through her remaining years. Helen always had a big smile on her face whenever she greeted someone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ismael Valerio Sr, in 2010 and her son, Henry Valerio, in 1987. She is survived by her following children: Alvin and his wife, Del Buen; Belaine and her husband, Jessie, and their children: Jessica, Jacqueline, and Jaimie; Caezar and his wife, Gloria, and their children: Karlo and Czarhenry; Ismael Jr and his wife, Liza, and their children: Paolo and Ivana; Eden and her husband, Danilo; Florante and his children: Francis, Ana, and Faith; Gil and his wife, Leilani, and their children: Trisha, Trina, and Tracy, and Irwin and his wife, Sherie. She also has siblings Albino Jr, Ida, and Shirley and her husband Jose. She has several nephews and nieces including Cynthia & Diane.
