H.C. "Hank" Cooper of Oklahoma City, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away July 6, 2012. Born September 6, 1938, Hank was the only son of Gladys and Major Wendell Cooper. Hank attended Capitol Hill High School, the University of Oklahoma, and OCU Law School. Upon graduation Hank joined the District Attorney's Office where he earned the reputation as a first-rate trial attorney. In a few short years he entered private practice and maintained a successful law practice throughout his lifetime. Hank was profoundly committed to his family, his church, and the larger community. He was a lifelong, faithful member of the Putnam City Baptist Church and a dedicated member of the India Shrine Center. Hank greatly enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting; he was an avid reader, storyteller, and game player. Of his many interests, the ones he loved best were those that simply allowed him to spend time with his family.
