Hugh Joseph Cassidy

Hugh Cassidy was born at home in Crystal, MN to Ted and Ellen Cassidy. He passed away unexpectedly, at St. Anthony's Hospital at age 86. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Robert Cassidy and Terence Patrick Cassidy, also his two sisters, Irene Gust and Catherine Byler. He is survived by his sister, Grace Porter and many nieces and nephews. Hugh attended John Carroll Catholic School, graduated from Classen High School, then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he returned home and enrolled at OCU. While attending OCU he earned a BA and a lifetime teaching certificate. As an adult he explored many business opportunities but found his niche as a career postal employee. His generosity, warm smile and Irish humor will be missed by all who knew him.
