Ida Mae became an angel Saturday June 11, 2016 at the age of 76. She was born in Temple, Texas on January 20, 1940, the daughter of Ida Beatrice Upshaw. She was raised by her grandparents and baptized in the church at an early age.
Ida married Albert K. Gibbs while he served in the Army in Fort Hood, TX and shortly afterwards, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where they lived. We moved her to Oklahoma City a few years ago.
Ida was the baby of four children: two brothers, Ezekiel Wilkerson, Jr., and Willie James Wilkerson both of whom have preceded her, and sister, Christine Levels who survives her. In addition, Ida leaves her daughter, Rosemary Howard and two grandchildren, Tiffany and Jalen Howard. Ida also leaves her two nephews, Richard Cudjo, his wife Paula Root, their children, Christopher, Nichols and Victoria; and John Cudjo, his wife Kathy, their children, Stephanie, Anthony and Melody Henry, her husband Elvis, her children, Ramon and Selithia Jackson; and many more cousins, nephews, and nieces.
We will always cherish the moments we had with her and know that we have an angel watching over us.
