Jack Homra,89, Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
Jack was born on February 21,1930 in Tipptonville, TN. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Korean War and had been stationed in Germany.
Jack later worked for 35 years for the W.J. Jones and Company, and then was involved with the W.J. Jones foundation to help children in need. He retired in 1994. He was married to his first wife, June Clementine Homra, for 41 years, before her passing in 2002.
Jack kept very busy playing golf and visiting weekly with his many friends. Most importantly, he loved being with his family. He loved his daughters and his eight grandchildren dearly. He later married his wife Darlene, and they spent time traveling and enjoying retirement.
Jack's favorite thing to do was rooting for OSU football and basketball. He loved his OSU Cowboys!
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack H. and Nelly Homra; his brother Billy Bob Homra; his precious daughter, Sandra Marie; his wife Clementine June Homra; his grandbaby Caleb Chamberlain; and many loving cousins and relatives. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Homra of Oklahoma City; his daughters, Kellie Kay Chamberlain and husband Chris of The Woodlands, Texas and Jacquelyn Nell Leonardi and husband Fredrick of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; his eight grandchildren, Christopher, Ellie, Clark, Samantha, and John Charles Chamberlain of The Woodlands, Texas and Sabrina and Savannah Leonardi of The Woodlands, TX and Sandra Leonardi of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; as well as his Great-grandson, Jonathan Brooks Tovar of The Woodlands, Texas.
Jack was loved by all and will be dearly missed. He brought joy to everyone he met with his big, contagious smile.
A special, heartfelt thank you to Sooner Hospice. They gave Jack very loving care during his illness and time of need. They all worked countless hours to help him stay comfortable and happy. We are very grateful for them. May his Memory be Eternal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at St. Eugene Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery.
