James "Danny" Daniel Dilley peacefully passed away in his sleep on September 30th, 2020, at his home. Danny was born November 8, 1954, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Elsie (Bruce) and OJ Dilley. Danny spent his entire career in the oil and gas industry beginning in Louisiana, transferring to North Dakota, and eventually settling down in Oklahoma in 1985, where he spent the last 35 years of his life.While working for Phillips 66 in 1981 in North Dakota during the oil boom, Danny met the woman of his dreams, Beverly, at a company dance. They married in 1982 in North Dakota and followed the oil boom to Oklahoma. There they laid their roots, raising their children, Brittany and Beau.Danny was a special person who had the ability to grab anybody's attention and have a conversation. He had a compassionate heart and would do anything for anybody, he genuinely loved to give. He was ornery, always offering witty banter and putting smiles on faces. He had a passion for playing guitar and was self-taught. Danny had a special artistic talent and loved to paint. At the end of his life, he was delighted to sell his art projects to a local artist gallery.Danny is survived by his wife, Beverly (Olson) Dilley; son, Chas Dilley, daughter, Brittany Dilley, son, Beau Dilley, daughter-in-law, Allison (Peil) Dilley; grandson, Easton Dilley, granddaughter, Brooklynn Dilley, and another grandchild on the way.
