October 19, 1962 – May 17, 2023 PLANO, TX Jim suddenly died of a heart attack in Alexandria, Louisiana on a business trip doing what he did best, men's attire. He was the first son born in Newark, Ohio on October 19, 1962 to Joseph Patterson Farrell and Catherine Benamatti Farrell. Jim was a proud Irish Italian. With his father's career in the oil business, the family landed in his father's home state of Oklahoma in the early 70s. Jim attended Christ the King Catholic School and graduated from Bishop McGuiness. He went on to attend his beloved Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes) and was a proud Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Both his sons followed in his footsteps at OSU and carried on the SAE tradition. On New Year's Eve 1990, Jim married the love of his life, Kristine Tomasevic at Christ the King in Oklahoma City. They resided in Costa Mesa, California until moving to Plano, Texas in 1995. Jim had a lucrative career in men's clothing, working for Nordstrom for nearly 20-years, dressing celebrities and having the best eye for an Italian silk tie. He ended his career working for Johnnie-O. He loved golfing with his sons at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, Oklahoma, traveling, live music (he saw James Taylor 45 times), and all sports (he and his sons especially loved watching the Dallas Stars). Most importantly, Jim Farrell never met a stranger and was loved by all. He should have been a comedian and is probably telling wisecracks up in heaven with his Dad over a few drinks.Jim is preceded in death by his father, Joe Farrell and his sister, Patricia Farrell Wadley.
