James L. Gregory passed into his new life June 10, 2011 quietly in his home in Edmond, Oklahoma. He was born January 9, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee to Elizabeth Gertrude Johnson and William Gregory.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise Irene; two sons, Russell Alton Gregory and wife Judy of Trenton, Michigan, and Roger L. Gregory and wife Rebecca Anne of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Charles E. Gregory of Springfield, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Pearl Wright of Rome, Georgia, and Kathryn Butler of Fayetteville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews from many places in the country. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William A. Gregory of Cross Plains, Tennessee.
James worked 30 years for General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. He loved TV, sports, country music, western movies, bowling and being the life of the party.
