Devoted husband, father, brother, and friend Jim Pearson passed away on March 21, 2014 in Mercy Hospital after a general debilitating illness. He is survived by his wife Eleanor of 58 years; two sons, Mike and Bob; two grandchildren; Zachary Pearson and Ryanne Logan, and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and three sisters; Paul Pearson, Ann, Carolyn and Jeanne. Jim was born in 1933 in Altus, OK, the last in a line of five children. He was a graduate of Stillwater High School in 1951 and attended Oklahoma A&M where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi, the Glee Club, and ROTC, graduating in 1955. Jim served in the U.S. Army for two years as an officer after his graduation and did a tour of duty in Korea. In 1955 he married Eleanor Austin. In the early 1960's they adopted two sons.Jim had a more than 30 year career as a credit manager for Mckesson and Robbins Drug Co. from which he retired in 1994. Jim's passions included his barbershop quartet in his youth and his lifelong love of the game of golf. In his retirement he enjoyed barbecuing on his back patio overlooking a par three on the Greens Country Club course as well as playing all the OKC public courses, Lincoln Park and Hefner being among his favorites. He will be deeply missed for the short time it takes for us all to be reunited with him. Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Smith & Kernke Chapel.
