James M. Dolan died Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the age of 91 in Oklahoma City. Born on January 14, 1925 and raised in OKC. James graduated from Notre Dame and was part of the Navel Task force preparing to invade Japan. When the war ended, he married his college sweetheart Patricia McCulloch and finished his aeronautical engineering degree. The couple returned to OKC where Jim joined the family heat and air business and they raised their six children; James, Patrick, Mary, Teresa, Bridget, and Katie. Jim loved flying and built a Star Duster biplane which he flew while in his 80's. In addition to his six children, James and Patricia had eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Prior to his death, James stated he accomplished all of his life goals and dreams during his 91 years. He is now off into the wild blue yonder. An Evening Prayer Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11th at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12th at St. Eugene's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
