James Michael 'Mike' Mcginnis

James Michael ("Mike") McGinnis died on July 25, 2010. He was born June 5, 1940 to O.J. "Rusty" and Evelyn R. McGinnis at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, he went to Bishop John Carroll Grade School, Catholic High School and graduated in 1958 from St. Gregory's High School, Shawnee, OK. After attending Regis College, Denver, CO, Mike served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. After completion of service, Mike returned to Oklahoma City and enrolled at Oklahoma City University, graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. After graduating from OCU, Mike joined his father's business; Dunlap Sporting Goods at 2831 N.W. 59 St. in Oklahoma City. In 1975, Mike became a Sporting Goods Manufacturers' Agent. In 1987, Mike started Mike McGinnis & Associates, and was active in his business until his death. Mike is survived by his son Patrick and his wife Kimrey of Norman; Daughter, Erin of Oklahoma City; Sisters, Mary Kathleen Sine and Suzanne McGinnis of Oklahoma City.
