James R. "Jimbo" Malone, 76, of Crescent, died peacefully on Wednesday.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-5 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, June 2 at 1 p.m., at Smith & Kernke Chapel.
Mr. Malone was born Sept. 24, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo. He lived in Oklahoma for the past 40 years, where he worked in the aviation business and developed his musical skills as a jazz trumpet player.
Survivors include his son, Matthew Malone and daughter-in-law, Michele, of Cedar Park, Tx.; his daughter, Elizabeth Malone, of Evanston, IL; his sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Bob Meadors of Norman; a nephew, John Walters of Norman, and a niece Linda Meadors and her husband, John of Camden, N.C.
He was predeceased in death by his partner and best friend of 18 years, Debra Papajohn Reed, his parents and his brother, Bob Malone.
