Jane Brady Shultz died peacefully in Oklahoma City on May 9, 2015 at the age of 86. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gene Shultz; her daughters, Vicki Duncan (Cary) of Cashion, Oklahoma, Carla Edwards of Phoenix, Arizona, and Sandra Kirk (Michael) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jane has three grandchildren: Ryan Edwards, Grant Kirk, and Blaine Kirk. She is preceded in death by her parents: Ethsedia Jane Brady and James A. Brady as well as her sister, Betty Rose Malan, and her twin brother, Jim Brady Jr. who died shortly after birth. Jane was born May 7, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended Cleveland Grade School, Taft Junior High and graduated from Central High School in 1947. Jane attended Oklahoma State University where she met Gene Shultz. Upon return from WWII, Gene was a senior at Oklahoma State University. In 1949, on the 3rd date, Gene told Jane he was going to marry her. On February 10, 1950, they were married in Oklahoma City. Jane and Gene spent most of their married life in Oklahoma City, Guthrie, and Cashion. Early in their marriage, Jane worked in retail and also interior design. Over many years, the couple welcomed three daughters to their home and Jane was a devoted mother who loved her family very much. Jane was a beautiful, spirited, smart, and fun loving lady. She loved the performing arts, fashion, dogs, and sports. She was always up on current events and the latest trends. She enjoyed watching any type of sporting event especially the OKC Thunder. Jane was proud to be from Oklahoma City. She was active in charity work in her early years and devoted to her children's activities in later years. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.
