Jane is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, Dr. Dan Northey. She has two living children, Samantha Bayless, 42, of Norman and Kimberly Little, 40, of Tulsa; and three grandchildren, Madison, 18, Jake, 16, and Avery, 11.She was born in Queens, NY and attended Pace University for nursing and Oklahoma State for psychology.Jane was an amazing mother, wife, and one of the smartest women her husband ever knew. She was once a registered nurse and then commodities broker and successful stock trader. She later taught high school students and adults about investments and the stock market. She was an artist who loved to paint bird portraits that she would find out of coffee table magazines. She created stained glass masterpieces that hung in the kitchen in their home in Hattiesburg, MS. When her kids were old enough, she taught them to cut and solder stained glass too. She took photography classes with her daughter and created resin backdrops with her grandkids. She also took cake decorating classes before her kids were born, something her husband remembers fondly. Needless to say, in everything she did, she excelled. She loved her many, many fur babies and is survived by Bart, Bailey, and Belle. She had an amazing spirit and love for animals. She is also survived by her many friends and family that she loved so deeply. She was gifted in so many ways and will be missed. May she rest in peace with her mother whom she has longed to be with since her passing in 2003.A come and go reception to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, October 1 from 2 -4 pm at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home on N. May Ave.
