Jane 'Mary Jane Sandie Darden' Darden

Mary Jane Wilson "Sandie" Darden passed away at home on February 2, 2013. She was born October 21, 1930 at Ft. Sam Houston, TX to Col. Bascom Lee Wilson U.S.A.F. M.C., Ret. and Mary Kathleen Lancaster Field Wilson. Sandie was a graduate of Stephens College, Columbia MO and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a member of Women's Honor Council and Pi Phi Sorority. Sandie was an English teacher in Chattanooga, TN, Henrico County, VA and Dallas, TX although most of her time was spent supporting her children's activities in sports, scouts and school. Sandie was an avid reader and contributed to numerous animal rescue organizations. Sandie is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Radcliffe Darden, Jr., daughter Kathleen Darden, son George Radcliffe Darden, III and his wife Leanne Crisco Darden and children, John, Elizabeth and Mary Martha; and her other son, William Lee Darden and his wife, Susan Kuhlke Darden and their children, William, Emily and Michael. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at 3PM in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church, 1835 Young St., Dallas, TX 75201.
