Janet Mary (Hoef) Klaus, 83, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Monday, June 14th at home surrounded by her family. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She later settled in Oklahoma City with her family. She was a program manager for the 38th Engineering Installation Division at Tinker Air Force Base where she worked for 40 years and met many wonderful friends. She was an accomplished artist and pianist. Janet was a dedicated member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Art and Mary Hoef, husband, Les Klaus, and great grandson, Mason. She is survived by her daughter Karen McDonald and Robert Palmerton, her grandchildren Ty and Eva Coon, Chris Coon, Jana and Sydney Coon, her great grandchildren Tristan and Jett Coon, and a host of loving family and friends including Bart Coon, Patricia Carr, and Victor Hakala. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in memory of Janet on Friday, June 25 at 10 am with with Father Rick Stansberry presiding at: Christ the King Catholic Church 8005 Dorset Dr. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73116The family would like to thank the nurses at Traditions Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
