Janice Marie McGee passed away January 26, 2013 in Oklahoma City. She was born on January 19th, 1930, the daughter of Patrick R. McGee and Bertha Menz McGee. She went to Rosary School, graduating in 1945, and St. Joseph's High School, graduating as valedictorian of her class in 1948. Her college education included St. Mary of the Woods College in Terra Haute, Indiana, graduating with a BS in Music Education in 1952. She then taught third grade at Rosary School for thirteen years, after which she went on to serve as the medical records custodian at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for twenty-six years before retiring. She was a fifteen-year volunteer at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City with almost 6,000 hours of service, and a lifetime parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where she served as a communion minister.
In addition to being an avid reader, she loved bowling, bingo, and playing bridge. She was a dedicated pet owner, and was committed to the love and support of her family.
She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Jean McGee Moisant, and her parents. She is survived by her four nephews, Daniel and his wife Heather of Edmond; Jay and his wife Angela of Norman; Paul and Chris of Oklahoma City; and grand-niece Madelyn and grand-nephew Orion of Norman.
