Janie Sue Newgent

Janie was born on June 27, 1926 in Rogers, Arkansas the daughter of Lester & Jewel (Caveness) Glover and passed away on October 21, 2013 in Oklahoma City. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother all of her life. She loved collecting antiques and gardening. She enjoyed her home and being with family. She was preceded in death by her husband James Newgent in 1980 and longtime companion, Art Beckner in 2012. Janie is survived by two sons, David Newgent and wife, Susan; and Gary Newgent and wife, Shelley Thompson; four grandchildren, Jessica McMindes and husband, Paul; Matthew Newgent and wife Christa; Jared Newgent; and Katie Newgent; one step-granddaughter, Sawyer Perry; and five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Adriana, Bella, Ian and Rorie. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
