Geneva "Jean" Lewis of Oklahoma City passed away peacefully on May 8, 2021 in Oklahoma City.She was born on April 8, 1926, in Dutch Mills, AR. Following her schooling she moved to Phoenix, AZ, where she met the love of her life John S. Lewis an Army Air Corps pilot from Sayre, OK. They enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 75 years almost all spent in Oklahoma City.Jean was the youngest of eight children and was preceded in death by her parents and all her three brothers and four sisters.She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, homemaker, friend, and a loyal member of First and Westminster Presbyterian Churches in Oklahoma City for over 60 years. Jean also served for many years as a volunteer at Baptist Medical Center. She was an active member of the Oklahoma Art League, Oklahoma City Book Club and Garden Club. She also volunteered with the Orchestra League and played in several Bridge goups.Jean is survived by her husband John; her daughter, Kay Smith and husband Mike, of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Kejda Herzog and husband Pete, of Austin, TX; great-granddaughter, Emma Herzog; and many special nephews, nieces and their extended families.The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to her wonderful caregivers Tammy Jackson, Crystal Rios, Helen Dawson, and Becky Hatchel, her special Hospice nurse.Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Chapel of Westminster Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Westminster Presbyterian Church or the Oklahoma Alzheimer's Association.
