Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Jean Marie Theissen, passed away on April 28, 2016. She was born June 9, 1935 in Mankato, Minnesota to Donald and Erma Schultz. She attended school in Mankato and graduated from Mankato State College with a degree in Elementary Education. When she was in junior high she met the love of her life, Darell and they married on August 12, 1956. They had three children; daughter, Lynn (Cory) Bowker of Ponca City, their children, Maggie and Jackson Bowker, son, Steve (Beth) Theissen of Edmond, their children Logan, Adam and Ryan Theissen, and son Jon (Sylvia) Theissen of San Antonio, their children, Joshua and Matthew Theissen. "Grammy" was a doting, proud grandmother and nothing made her happier than having her whole family gathered together at her house for the holidays.
Jean cherished her friends and enjoyed every moment spent with them. Some of her fun times with them included playing golf, bridge and attending Town Hall lectures. She was a longtime member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church; active in bible study, Whiz Kids tutoring program and a shopper for Mobile Meals.
Survivors include her loving husband, Darell, sister, Donna (Dick) Crawford, of Topeka, KS; and her children and grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude to Jean's caregivers, Patricia and Ebony.
