Jeff R. Burkes

Jeff Burkes passed away suddenly of a heart attack Sunday evening July 19, 2015. Jeff loved life to its fullest, was a devoted father, loving husband, great mentor and friend to all. Jeff grew up in Midwest City and attended Oklahoma State University as a brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and had a long successful career as an Executive for Cox Business Services up to his death at the young age of 55. Jeff was a selfless and unconditional man always looking for the good in people and always striving to do what is fair and right. His greatest joys in life included coaching his son's basketball teams and playing his gorgeous game of golf whenever possible. Born April 20, 1960 he is preceded in death by his father Donald Wayne Burkes, and is survived by his mother Carolyn Burkes; wife Suzy Burkes and son Hank Burkes; sister Paula Burkes, sister Pamela Burkes-Smith and brother in law Don Smith, brother in law Larry Bastida and sister in law Tricia Bastida; and many nieces and nephews.
