Jeff Wendle Skinner, a highly accomplished professional who dedicated his life to the field of radiology, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2023, at his home in Oklahoma City. He was born on August 3, 1941, in Altus, Oklahoma.
Jeff's journey in the medical field began when he attended the Radiologic Technology Program through Saint Anthony Hospital. He served as the Director of Radiology at Saint Anthony Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, and Norman Regional Hospital. He also worked as a Radiologic Technologist at Norman Regional and Edmond Regional Hospitals, as well as for OU Athletics.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 44 years Margaret, his brother Deward Skinner and wife Linda, sister Jackie, sons Paul Skinner and wife Tammy, and Justin Skinner; daughters Erika Betchan and husband Ed, and Megan Shrock and husband Caleb; grandchildren Brady and husband Dakota, Creed, Ethan, Charlie Rae, Austin, Tyler, Hannah, Raylan and Cord; and great-grandson Graham.
His parents Deward and Hettie Skinner preceded him in death, as well as his sister Gwen and his son Jeff Paul.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gertrude Whaley, Jeff's sister-in-law, for the exceptional care provided to Jeff and the family for more than a year prior to his passing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 2pm at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel with inurnment following.
