Jeffery L. Schrader

Jeff left for his eternal home on January 12, 2012 after fighting a courageous 7 year battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Hobart, OK to Jewel and Marie Schrader and was raised in Midwest City, OK. Jeff served in the U.S. Navy from 1977 - 1983. He loved his job of 23 years working for Sprint-Nextel as operations manager. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jewel Schrader; Grandmother, Clara Vermillion; Brothers, Donnie and David Michael Schrader; and Niece Tracie Schrader. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Diane Schrader of the home; Mother, Marie Schrader of Del City; Brother, Marion and wife Franza Schrader of Edmond; Sister, Pamela Schrader; and many other family members and friends. Jeff leaves behind his precious pets and companions, Black Dog and cats, Roxie and Louie, who were by his side when he passed. A special thanks to Dr. James Hampton and his nurse Judy whom Jeff shared a special bond with and who fought the battle right along with Jeff. The nurses of Mercy Hospice, Becky, Jennie and Audra are special angels sent to Jeff and became members of the family. Thank you so much! A Visitiation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. A Celebration of Jeff's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Smith and Kernke Chapel.
