Jeffrey Keith Vaughan was born on September 16, 1975 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Donna and Ronny Vaughan. He graduated from the esteemed Pioneer Park Elementary School in 1985. He graduated from MacArthur Junior High in 1988 and attended MacArthur Senior High, where he should have graduated but… Instead, graduating from Lawton Christian Academy in 1994. Jeff was a devoted and wonderful husband. He married his high school sweetheart Paula Florez on June 21st,1997. Jeff and Paula moved to Edmond and to quote Paula, began what would become "a wonderful mess of a life together". Jeff graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 1999. He began working at the U.S. Post Office when he was 18, following in the footsteps of both of his parents. Jeff excelled at everything he did, and the Post Office was no different. He went from delivering the mail and knowing every name on his route and which goodies they had to offer, to a supervisor role, where he wanted to know each employee and what was going on in their lives. Jeff served as Postmaster at 4 offices: Spencer, El Reno, Bethany and Stillwater, in addition to acting Postmaster of Yukon, Norman and Edmond. He was referred to as "the lighthouse" in the post office community, because of the way he improved morale at every office he ran. In addition to devoting his career to the postal service, Jeff was their biggest recruiter, convincing several of his friends it was the best job in the world and to apply. Several of them are still employed to this day. Jeff loved his time in Stillwater, having been an OSU fan most of his adult life, claiming he cheered for OU when he was young and didn't know any better. Jeff was an entrepreneur and he and parents enjoyed flipping houses when his children were young. Jeff was a father. He and Paula had two kids, Camryn and Evan. They were the prizes of their marriage. Camryn was born on August 2, 1999, and Evan on May 19, 2001. Cam has always had an eye for fashion and is following her dreams. She is a junior at OSU studying fashion merchandising. Evan is a senior at Edmond North High School. Evan is athletic and enjoys playing golf and riding motorcycles. He has an incredibly mechanical mind that Jeff always believed would be put to great use. If you knew Jeff, you loved him. He was a loyal friend to so many and everyone's favorite. He was the most affable guy you've ever met. He could and would talk to anyone, he never met a stranger twice and was as kind as we should all aspire to be. He was completely full of crap and you never really knew if he was pulling your leg or being serious. He liked it that way. Jeff is survived by his mom and dad, Donna and Ronny Vaughan, his loving and always devoted wife, Paula Vaughan, his two kiddos Camryn and Evan, sister Ashley Shrader, numerous extended family and friends who became family. In the great words of Luke Skywalker and the 2-Live Crew, "We love you long time".
