Jerrie Lynn Szczepka

Jerrie Holt Szczepka was born on September 19, 1942 to Louis and Laura Holt. She lived in Oklahoma City all of her life. Jerrie graduated from Northeast High School in 1960. She was retired from Lucent Technologies after more than 30 years of service. Jerrie loved her family, music and movies. She had a passion for learning and it was almost impossible to get her out of a museum.After a long illness, Jerrie passed away on November 7, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Katrina Szczepka-Eppler; sister, Sandra Brooks; grandson, Daniel "Scooby" Eppler and wife Brandi; nephew, John Brooks and wife Kendra; and nephew, Cameron Brooks. Jerrie was preceded in death by her husband, Wladimir Szczepka, and by her parents.Known for her generous heart and her unique sense of humor, Jerrie will be greatly missed. The family thanks the staff at Baptist Integris Medical Center, especially the staff on the 3rd floor, for their care and compassion.Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Smith and Kernke located at 14624 N May Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10am at Smith and Kernke located at 1401 NW 23rd Street. Interment immediately following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City.
