Services to honor Jerry will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
Jerry Joe Pyburn, 79, died this week at The Oklahoma Heart Hospital after a long illness. The Army veteran was born in Oklahoma City on November 24th, 1935 to Roy and Muriel(Oliver) Pyburn. He was preceded in death by his dear wife Nancy Pyburn, who passed away last year.
Jerry is survived by four children: Randy Pyburn, Monique Garrison, Carmen Smith, Dawn Mamer, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Ronnie Pyburn, Sister-In-Law Janice Pyburn and nephews Rick & Lee Pyburn.
After the Army, Jerry spent most of his career at Wilson Foods Corporation at the Oklahoma City Stockyards. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1235 in Midwest City and served on their ritual team.
Jerry was a talented gunsmith and military history buff. He loved hunting, fishing and woodworking.
