Jerry Paul Martin

Jerry Paul Martin died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 27h, 2010. He was born on July 19th, 1929, in Curtis, OK. He attended St. Joseph's of Hays, KS, St. Edward's and graduated from Subiaco in AR. He earned his degree in business at OCU. Jerry was married to Paula Slater on September 20th, 1955. He was employed as an accountant for numerous oil & gas companies in his career. Jerry has been a friend of Bill W.'s for 50 years, helping to inspire and give courage to others. He was a devout Catholic and a man of great faith in the Lord. Jerry is preceded in death by parents, John Frank and Margaret Doyle Martin, two brothers, Samuel and Joseph Martin, one sister, Mary Ziegler, infant son, Christopher Paul, and son, James Matthew Martin. He is survived by his wife, Paula, three daughters, Angela Martin of Guthrie, Delores Lightsey of Mustang, and Cecilia Smith of OKC, sons-in-law, Mike Lightsey and Steven Smith, two grandsons, Michael Ream and Christopher Guy, of OKC, two great-grandchildren, Blaine Ream and Sunny Guy, three sisters, Ann Carroll of OH, Lucille Newport of TX, Mary Lou Williams of AR, and one brother, Jack Madden of CA.
