Jill Dunn Parker was born in Lubbock, Texas on the 4th of July 1934, and in her early days she thought all of the fireworks and celebrations were for her. She died from complications of peripheral artery disease in Oklahoma City on January 20, 2022.Her parents were Jack Dunn Sr. and Evelyn Bryan Dunn of Farwell, Texas: a suburb of Clovis, New Mexico that Jill called her home. Jill's father arrived in Oklahoma City as an infant in 1895 from Tennessee as Oklahoma City was the end of the railroad. He stayed here with his mother, while his father traveled west in a "wagon" safari to buy land being sold by the Farwell family of Chicago who were owners of the XIT Ranch which comprised ten counties in TX. Jill was a housewife, equestrian, golfer and avid sports fan. She was a graduate of Stephens College, Columbia, MO where she switched from western style riding to gaited horses. She graduated from University of Oklahoma in 1956 where she met her husband of 65 years, Byron D. (Bud) Parker and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Jill was a long-time member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She donated her time and talents to many local civic organizations. Her passion was golf, and she was president of various ladies' golf associations calling Quail Creek her home course.Jill is survived by her husband Bud, her daughters, Patty (Peter) Brumbaugh and Patty's daughter Mary Kathryn Coe; Suzy (Jeff) Lytle and their daughters Lydia and Sally Lytle all of Oklahoma City.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, OKC, at 11:00 am, Monday, January 24, 2022. Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Mausoleum at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
