Joan 'Joan Cornett' Cornett

Joan Yvonne Cornett, 85, passed away the morning of July 14, 2014, in Edmond. Joan was born in Oklahoma City on Feb. 25, 1929, to the late Paul and Lena Fuget. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack Cornett; children, Vicki Turner, Jackie Wagner and Paul Cornett (Laura); grandchildren, Chris Johnson (Catherine), Courtney Howard (Amanda), Cody Howard, Megan Adams, Kristi Wagner Moore, Karri Wagner-Howard, Barry Wagner (Lisa), Kayla Cornett, Justin Cornett, Allie Turner, Josh Turner; 13 great grandchildren; and special family friend, Renee Tiner. Joan was the greatest example of what a wife, mother and grandmother should be. She was always there for us, whether it was cooking, giving hugs and encouragement, or being there to listen when we needed her most. Services will be Wednesday, July 16 at 3 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
