JoAnn Fair passed away on December 22, 2016 in Edmond, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. She was born in Oklahoma City on July 22, 1930, the only child of Harriet Folmar and William Thomas Rowland. JoAnn graduated from Central High-School in Oklahoma City in 1948. After graduation, she attended Oklahoma City University where she met her husband, Leslie Samuel (Sam) Fair. They were married on September 2, 1949 at Christ Methodist Church.
JoAnn and Sam were blessed with two children, Curtis Rowland and Donna Sue. They had a wonderful marriage which lasted until Sam's death in 2001. She was the consummate wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted herself to the family, her church and to her many friends. JoAnn's love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. Everyone who came to know JoAnn (Grammy) felt her kind and gentle spirit. She truly had a servant's heart!
JoAnn is survived by her son, Curtis Rowland Fair and his wife Tara along with her daughter, Donna Sue Kamas and her husband Sam. JoAnn's surviving grandchildren, their spouses, children and great-grandchildren include: Dr. Richard Fair (Deuce), his wife Melissa and their two daughters, Savannah and Cameron; JW McLendon Fair (Trey), his wife Lauren and their two children, Scout and Jett; Jarod Spencer Gonzalez and his wife Leshia and their two sons, Jackson and Jameson; Bonner James Gonzalez and his wife Megan and their two children Milan and Gray.
