JoAnn "JoJo" (Hubatka) Leuszler passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 20, 2018. She was born August 31, 1925 in Oklahoma City to John Edward and Helen (Sears) Hubatka. JoAnn graduated from Northeast High School in 1943, where she was president of the student body during her senior year. She went on to attend Oklahoma City University where she majored in Journalism and was a member of Phi Delta Sorority. JoAnn met Wayne Leuszler at an USO Dance at the South Base in Norman, Oklahoma and they married on October 4, 1945. She was an active member of First Christian Church from 1942 to 2008 and went on to be an active member of Village Christian Church from 2008 to 2018. She was employed in the Marketing Department at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until she retired in 1976. JoAnn spent so much of her time dedicated to the service of others through her participation in Mobile Meals for over 20 years; and her devotion to the Salvation Army Women's Artillery. She was a member of her beloved "Lovely Ladies" for over 50 years, a lifetime member of The 89'ers and was also the 2002 President of the Clubettes, part of the Young Men's Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William "Bill" Hubatka. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Wayne Elton Leuszler of OKC; Son, Dr. Richard Leuszler and his wife, C.C. of OKC; Daughter, Helen Smith and her husband Stephen of Rockwall, TX; Niece, Marilyn Emberson of OKC; 5 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Step-Great Grandchildren.
