Joe Haas

Larry "Joe" Haas passed away peacefully in his home in Edmond, OK, on May 17, 2016. Born to Clara and J.R. Haas on September 2, 1954, he was the youngest of three children. From early on, Joe had a career in sales with 30+ years selling and designing promotional products. Twenty of those years, he owned his own company, Haas Associates. He loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, and was a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed making everyone laugh, spoiling his 6 grandchildren, spending time on the driving range, singing karaoke and had several unpublished manuscripts. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include Marilyn Haas, his wife of 31 years; daughter, Valerie Russell and husband, Kris Russell; daughter, Melissa Ketchum, and husband, Brian Ketchum; his beloved 6 grandchildren: Kyler Ketchum (10), Major Russell (9), Avery Russell (8), Callie Ketchum (7), Colson Ketchum (3) and Grace Russell (3); brother, Jim Haas, and his wife, Sandy Haas; and sister, Ruby Haas; and sister-in-law, Sue Brantley; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those who have loved them through prayers, calls, notes and visits. "Put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth." (Ephesians 4:24) In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to: Student Ministries at Quail Springs Baptist Church at 14613 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK, 73134. Memorial services will be held at Quail Springs Baptist Church on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 11:00a.m.
