Joe L.A. Muse, 82, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021 at his home in Yukon, OK. Born in Panola, OK, he had a love for music, sports, and photography. He was an expert in computers before it was cool and actually had the Heavener school system connected to the internet before most people knew what the internet was.He became an avid golfer at age 16 carrying a zero handicap for about 30+ years. After 20 years in the business world, he found his calling as a teacher at age 45. He inspired many people in his almost 30-year teaching career. Mr. Muse is survived by his wife and four children: Janice Muse of Yukon, OK, Jennifer Muse and life partner Joseph Birkenmaier of Pensacola, FL, Twin sons: John Muse of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Jeff Muse of Yukon, OK, Jared and wife Mai Muse of Oklahoma City, OK; his eight grandchildren: Niki Sue Beck, Chance Warner, Aaron Muse, Megan Warner, Caleb Warner, Ashley and husband Jonathan Bate, Matthew Warner, and Emily Warner. Three great-grandchildren; Bailey, Grace, and Patterson. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Even though he was an only child he had very close cousins that filled the place of siblings as they were raised together during time of war, Jane Hamilton and Jim Hamilton (deceased).He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bess (French) Muse of Heavener, OK.
