John Joseph Costello

John J. Costello, age 57, died May 20, 2018 following a short illness. Johnny, one of 9 siblings, was a gentle soul devoted to his parents Norma and Thomas R. Costello. He honored God and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, loved and was loved by his siblings, 26 nieces and nephews, and Fuzzy Mae his cat. Johnny graduated from John Marshall HS in 1979. His passions were family, friends, KGOU Weekend Blues, OETA productions, sports, a good time, all music types, America and its freedoms, politics, fishing, and sunsets at the beach. Johnny is survived by these siblings and their respective spouses and children: Susie Costello, Ann Culbertson, Carrie Brown, Mary Jane DeLestang, Tom Costello, Jr., Liz Hudson, Joe Smith and Jessie Barnes. Friday, May 25, 2018, Johnny can be viewed from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Ave., OKC. The rosary, the Latin Rite Requiem Mass, and then internment at Resurrection Cemetery are Saturday, May 26, 2018, 10:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Chapel, 4701 N. McMillan Ave, Bethany, OK. A private family gathering is afterwards.
