John Michael "Mike" Mayberry, 51 years of age, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 18, 2012, of natural causes. Mike was born September 17, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to John Henry "Pete" Mayberry and Aletha Mayberry. On July 27, 1985, Mike married Cindy Silvernail Mayberry, and together they made a wonderful life and built a happy, close-knit family as soul mates in the Deer Creek Community. Mike was truly a beloved husband, father, son and son-in-law, brother and brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and friend. He is survived by his wife of almost 27 years, Cindy; a son, Micah; and a daughter, Madison; his parents, Pete and Aletha Mayberry of Tyler, Texas; a sister, Myla Mayberry, of Longview, Texas; and a host of other relatives – all of whom will miss him sorely. Mike was a "real man" in every sense of the word: he was a faithful and devoted husband and father and always put his family first. To all who knew him, he had a quiet wisdom and calm strength that was always reassuring, always available. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Mike loved golf and was an avid sports fan, especially of the ones involving his children. Crossings Community Church was Mike's church home, where he was an active member and served as an usher. He was an investment advisor and owned JMM Investments, LLC in Oklahoma City. Memorial service will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Crossings Community Church, 14600 North Portland Avenue, Oklahoma City.
