Johnnie Little passed away Oct. 26, 2010 following a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Minden, LA, the son of John D. and Merlene Smith Little. He spent most of his younger years in Texas, graduating from Odessa High School. He entered the US Air Force on Aug. 18, 1966, served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged June 9, 1970. He earned a degree in Law Enforcement and worked in various positions, including security for Gov. Ronald Reagan. He also worked in the oil field for several years before returning to college and earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Chico State College in 1994. He was employed as an environmentalist for the State of Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. He was very active in the Boy Scouts and served as a Club Master. He loved nature. He is survived by his wife, Heather; four children, DeeAnn, John Patrick, Ian, and Evan; sister, Dianne Majors Johnson; brother, Warren Kyle Young; one grandson, Aidan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
