Johnny Monsour passed away on May 12, 2013. He was born December 15, 1936, in Oklahoma City, the son of Fred and Victoria Monsour. He attended Nichols Hills Elementary School, Taft Junior High and Classen High School. During those years, he met his dearest friends and throughout his life shared many stories about their time together. Johnny continued his education at The University of Oklahoma, where he became a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and developed an enduring love for Sooner football. He graduated from Oklahoma City University. He spent over 50 years working in the wholesale liquor business and was widely known and respected in the industry. Johnny's greatest love was spending time with his family at Grand Lake. He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie; parents Fred and Victoria Monsour; brother Fred Monsour, Jr.; and his sister Patricia Eddie. Johnny is survived by Margaret, his wife of 46 years; also by his daughter and son-in-law Lisa and David Millington; daughter and son-in-law Amy and Stephen Santee; daughter Jennifer Monsour; and four loving grandchildren Ira Millington, Elisabeth Millington, Sarah Santee and Jack Santee. He is also survived by his devoted nieces and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 11 a.m. at All Souls' Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Classen '55 Scholars Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, 1000 N. Broadway, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
