Joshua (Josh) James Pelafigue was born in St. Martinville, Louisiana on January 20, 1974 and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents Henry Pelafigue and Paul and Yvonne Melancon; his father Harvey Pelafigue; nephews Jordon and Jessie Pelafigue. Josh will forever be missed by his wife Meegan Neher Pelafigue; daughters Shelby Rae Pelafigue, Ryan Scrivens and Mikena Maroney; sons Daxton and Britton Maroney; grandchildren Kai and Mia Scrivens; mother Consuella (Connie) Pelafigue; brother Jason Pelafigue; sister Monique Verret; brother-in-law Vernon Verret; niece Morgan Verret; nephews Luke and Myles Verret and grandmother Renella (Nell) Pelafigue. His career began as an Electrician in the Louisiana Oil Patch and progressed into Bi-Fuel Fumigation in Oklahoma City. During this journey he traveled and was able to see beautiful places like Trinidad and Tobago, Brazil, and The Rocky Mountains.Josh was a Cajun transplant who found his home in Oklahoma City through his wife Meegan. He had a deep love for family, the outdoors, traveling with his wife, fishing, scuba diving, playing music with his friends and Cajun food. He had a passion for his LSU Tigers and was converted into a Sooner fan through Oklahoma family. He never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face and was ready to help anyone who needed it in whatever way he was able. Services will be held at Crossings Chapel on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10AM. Flowers can be sent to Smith and Kernke Funeral Home, also please consider a donation to Convoy of Hope in Josh's honor.
