Joy Ablah

Joy Jean Ablah died on May 22, 2016. She was born in Drumright, Oklahoma in August of 1927. She grew up in Elk City and her high school years were in Lawton, where she graduated. She graduated from College at Cameron in Lawton. She later moved to Oklahoma City with her family. She is survived by four children, daughters, Rochelle Ablah, M.D., Charlotte Ablah, sons, Mitchell Ablah and wife Judy and George Ablah, Jr.; granddaughter, Alexandra; brother, Ernest Shadid, M.D. and wife Joyce; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband George Ablah; parents, George and Nerose Shadid; sisters, Blanch Nayfa, Juanita Massad Wright, and Alain Ellis. Funeral services will be at 7pm on Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. Memorials may be made to St. Elijah's "The Flowers that Do Not Wither Fund" or a charity of one's choice.
