Joy Jeane Cooper

Joy Jeane Hughes Cooper, 83, of OKC, entered the presence of her Heavenly Father with peace and grace on January 19, 2020. She was born August 14, 1936, in Leesville, LA, the daughter of the late Helen Hughes Brooks and Kennie Hughes. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, H.C. Cooper. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Jacquelyn and Jamalyn; 3 grandchildren, Valerie and husband Adam, Dale and wife Jana, and Ryan Anthony Nowling; and 6 great grandchildren, Kaylie, Savannah, Taylor, William, Isabel, and Joy; and she was looking forward to the birth of her 7th great grandchild in April, A.J. Our mother's love and guidance and her welcoming home will be cherished memories. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Smith & Kernke on North May. She will be laid to rest beside H.C. on Friday with a private family graveside service.
