Joyce Jean Elcyzyn

Joyce Jean Elcyzyn passed away on Oct. 1, 2011 at her home in Edmond. She was born Nov. 5, 1947 in Oklahoma City. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965, and attended OSU. Joyce was married at and a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church. She graduated from beauty school and owned her own salon. Joyce made a lasting impression on anyone who met her. She was the most giving person you would ever meet. Joyce had a long and courageous battle with diabetes for 52 years as well as a kidney transplant recipient. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Oleta McCarthy Timmons, brother, Jerry Timmons and daughter, Melody Timmons. She is survived by her loving husband, David of 42 years; daughter, Jennifer Elcyzyn; son, Jeff Elcyzyn and wife Tiffany; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Gavin Elcyzyn; and two brothers, Jack Timmons and Jim Thunderbird.
