Judith Ann Kauffman

Judith Ann (Scott) Kauffman of Oklahoma City, passed from this life peacefully on September 22, 2023 at home surrounded by family.  

Judy was born on August 30th, 1942 to Roy and MayBelle Scott, who preceded her in death.  

She was a graduate of McAlester High School and attended the University of Oklahoma.  She loved OU football and basketball games and never missed a chance to cheer them on, whether it was in person or on tv.  To say that Judy loved fashion is an understatement.  In her early years she worked at Balliet’s as a buyer and loved her trips to New York City.  In the 80’s she opened a high-end resale clothing store, Elite Repeat in Oklahoma City where she worked until her retirement.  On June 30th, 2001 Judy married the love of her life, Chris Kauffman.  They had 22 years of wonderful times and travel, and she loved that Chris gained an instant family.  But what brought Judy the most joy were her three grandchildren.  She loved them with all her heart and was all hands on deck helping and participating in any activities they had. We will all miss our sweet Nana dearly.

In addition to Chris, Judy is survived by her son Jeff Lee (Carol); her brother George Scott (Carol); her niece Heather Foraker (Eddie); grandchildren Coley (Miranda), Jeffrey and Carson Lee. Judy was preceded in death by her son Bruce Scott Lee and we are comforted in knowing they are together again.  

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Friday, September 29th at 2:00pm at Smith Kernke Funeral home.
