Kate E. Klingenberg

A faithful servant of her Lord and of her family went to be with her heavenly Father on March 15, 2015. Kathleen Elaine Berney was born September 14, 1954 to Paul and De Berney in Oklahoma City. Kate spent her life in OKC teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten in several OKC and Putnam City schools. She changed schools often as she only wanted to work "half-day" kindergarten as she spent all of her time being a full time mother to her three sons. Kate is survived by her husband, Rick; her son, Adam, and his wife, Sarah, and her grandsons, Davis and Carson; her son, Jake; her son, Sam, and his wife, Lauren. Other survivors include her sister, Ellen Berney, and her brother, Lou Berney, and his wife, Christine, as well as many other in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A special thanks to her caregivers Rox, Rosa and Elva and the many other of "Kate's Angels." Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Christ the King Church.
