Kathie Lynn Truitt

Kathie Lynn Truitt, age 64 of Bethany, unexpectedly left this life on Sunday, August 6, 2017. She was born August 26, 1952 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Kathie was raised in the beautiful mountains of Montana and graduated from Columbus, Montana. As she grew up, she was also a part of one of the only all women's harvest crews. Kathie was an enthusiastic New Orleans Saints football fan, even most recently caught trying to teach her youngest great-grandchild to say 'Who dat?, Who dat?" She will be remembered for her kindness and loving spirit. She was a giver and had a great sense of humor. She spent countless hours volunteering and was a huge advocate for Kruizin' 4 Seniors during this senior citizen's Christmas drive. She loved her family so very much and was also a huge animal lover, specifically dedicated to her boxer dogs. Kathie was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Mavis Jensen in June of this year. She was also preceded in death by her great-niece, Kyra Olson. She is survived by her most treasured blessings, her children, Shannon Martin and husband Gary, Kenna Wulffenstein and husband Billy, Josh Phares, Heath Truitt and wife Chrystal. Kathie was grateful and overjoyed with love to have been grandmother to numerous grandchildren as well as two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Earl Witzel; her siblings, Vicki Holman-Wynn and husband Sammy, Hank Olson, Deanie Fitchner and Stephanie Overhuls; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. The family will be available to greet friends during visitation on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Smith & Kernke N. May Funeral Home.
