Kathleen O. Kubier

Kathleen O. Kubier, 89, passed away on March 30, 2014. She was born on October 15, 1924 in St. Paul, MN to Henry and Kate Olsen. In addition to raising 7 children, she was an active in the League of Women's Voters while in Minnesota. In 1964 Kathleen and her family moved to Oklahoma City. Kathleen worked with the American Institute of Discussion through the Oklahoma City Library System during the 1970's and 1980's. Kathleen enjoyed gardening, especially during the spring time. She was an avid reader and bridge player. Her house was never without chocolate which she had to hide. Kathleen was a beloved wife, mother and friend. Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband Julius; parents; and her brother Jim. She is survived by her 7 children, Jeanne, Ellen, Martin, Henry, Michael, Larry and Francis along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday, April 2nd at Smith & Kernke 23rd Street Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Thursday, April 3rd at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, (1901 NW 18th Street, OKC, OK). With Interment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial gifts to be made to Little Sisters of the Poor.
