Kathryn Mary Carruth was born April 10, 1938 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Hermon and Helen Casler. She attended R.C. an all-girls Catholic school in Guthrie, Oklahoma and graduated in 1956. She worked numerous jobs from retail, Oklahoma State Government, certified diesel mechanic to office management until 1987 when she returned to school to pursue her love of caring for others. She attended OSU-OKC majoring in Nursing; she graduated the program in 1989. She worked for over 20 years from hospitals to home health caring for the needs of others. Kathy was an avid gardener and created many an oasis in her yards. She has grown closer to The Lord the last 10 years as a member of the Northwest Bible Church. One of her favorite sayings was "If you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plan". She is survived by her husband Tom; son Robert and Elizabeth Richards and granddaughters Tiffany and Jessica; son Kenneth Ericson and grandsons Nicholas and Ryan; step daughter Stephanie and Benjie Adams and grandchildren Jarin, Jordan, Jamie, and Ben; and numerous other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Ann Strawderman and grandson Kenneth Ericson, III.
