Kathryn Starry Schiff

Kathryn Schiff died peacefully on May 20, 2014 after a long and devout life. Her dearly beloved husband Sidney and her dear son Gregory have gone before her. She is survived by her son John, her son Michael and his wife Patricia, and her daughter Mary and her husband Rob, two grandchildren Suzanne Wiley and Betsy Daugette; three great-grandchildren Isabel and May Wiley and Jackson Daugette. She was the daughter of Dr. Leo J. Starry and his wife Maree. She was a war-time graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she became a life-long supporter of her Pi Beta Phi sorority. She raised her family in the 18th Street Catholic neighborhood around St. Francis Church and Rosary School in northwest Oklahoma City. She was a devout Catholic all her life and an avid Sooner football fan from the 1930's until she died. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery with her husband and son, where they will wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
