Kathy Lynn Sherrell

Kathy Lynn Sherrell was born to R.C. and Viola Robins in Canyon, Texas. She was a High School Graduate of Canyon, Texas. She graduated from West Texas State with a Bachelors in Journalism. Kathy enjoyed her career with American Airlines as an area sales manager. She left American Airlines to begin a career with Journey House Travel Agency as a manager at the North OKC office. Kathy later started her own decorating business, "Decorating Divas" from 2001-2008. Her final decorating job was to fully decorate her beautiful home in Quail Creek. Kathy's ultimate passion were her three boys; Jace, Chris and Derrick. She was a very active sports mom. She followed her youngest, Jace, to every field, court and stadium he played in and her older sons saw her on the bleachers at all their sporting activities. To call Kathy an "animal lover" would be an understatement. She rescued many lucky cats and dogs. She volunteered many hours at the OKC Humane Society and was a huge advocate for the "Free to Live" Agency. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Lee Sherrell; son, Jace Chandler; son, Christopher and his wife Catherine, and their daughter, Serenity; son, Derrick and wife Stephanie Poole and their children, Ashton and Joshua; Brother, Michael Robins and his wife, Jody and their children, Megan and Robin; and her youngest brother, Kevin Robins and his son, Shane. Services for Kathy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Smith & Kernke Chapel. Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
